Who is Sally Field Family?
Sally was born to Margaret Field and Richard Dryden Field. Her mother Margaret was an actress who worked intermittently in theater, film, and television while her father Richard was an officer in the US Army, and later a salesman.
Sally's parents divorced when she was only four, and not long after, her mother married stuntman and actor Jock Mahoney. Sally's stepfather was emotionally manipulative and physically abusive.
For many years, she did not reveal the extent of the abuse she suffered, even to her mother. Sally found an outlet for self-expression in acting, starting in junior high school. Losing herself to another character allowed her to escape the fears and uncertainties of her home life.
She graduated from Birmingham High School in the San Fernando Valley. Her acting career began in 1965 when she landed the role of Frances Elizabeth 'Gidget' Lawrence in Gidget(1965).

The actress exchanged vows with her first husband, Steven Craig, in 1968 after dating him for two years. The couple became parents of their sons, Peter Craig and Eli Craig, but they sadly split after seven years of marriage in 1975.
Following her split, Sally walked down the aisle again in 1984 with Alan Greisman. They welcomed their son Sam Greisman, in 1987. However, the former pair divorced in 1994 after 10 years of marriage.
